Installation of Console without spacer collar
Simply slide or push the condenser part of the console unit into the wall sleeve making sure that there is a no bigger gap than 10mm between back of condenser and the outside louver, causing air circulation (short cycling of hot air) between outlet and inlet of condenser. Should the gap be bigger than 10mm then you must either use a foam rubber strip to make a splitter or install a small splitter plate made of sheet metal or similar. Fasten the console unit to the wall using wall plugs (Fischer) and 6mm self tapping screws. Make use of holes provided on each side of the back plate of air-handler.
Installing a spacer collar onto the Console
Take correct WESTAIR spacer collar and fasten to wall using wall plugs (Fischer) and 6mm self tapping screws, using the five holes provided in the frame, using spirit level! Now slide or push the condenser part of the console unit into wall sleeve as above. Line up the back plate of console unit with spacer collar and fasten with self cutting self-tapping screws or drill small holes through back plate holes and use normal self-tappers. Do not use flat rivets as then console can not be removed easily for major services!
Connecting power supply cord of unit
Push the power supply cord of console unit through rubber grommet on right or left hand bottom side of unit and connect to correctly sized isolator in power skirting, not forgetting to connect the earth wire! Push the excess cable back into unit and replace unit main cover and fasten screws both on right and left side of unit.
